Decarbonising hat-trick for William Birch

York based main contractor, William Birch, has secured three new projects and a place on the national Fusion21 Decarbonisation framework to decarbonise public buildings in the region.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has awarded William Birch a £1.5m project to decarbonise three public buildings; Bridlington Spa and Beverley based Annie Reed Road Depot and County Hall. The three projects are part of the phase 1 Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme which was awarded £1 billion of funding reflecting the importance of the public sector’s role in meeting the Government’s commitment to Net Zero by 2050.

In addition to this hat-trick of schemes William Birch has secured a place on Fusion21’s 4-year framework for decarbonising public buildings in Yorkshire and the North-East. Specifically designed to meet the needs of public sector organisations the framework will support the design and delivery of energy efficiency measures, combining contracts that can deliver thermal fabric improvements, heating & renewables, power and building management systems.
