Students teams will design a Net Zero Island with 30,000 inhabitants. Each school can enter between 1 to 2 teams depending on interest. Suggested team sizes are between 4 – 5 students. The launch event will be on Wednesday 9th October at the STEM centre on the University of Bradford campus. The Dragon’s Den pitch event will be on Wednesday 27th November, also at the STEM centre.
Each team of students will receive a research pack to support their Island design; webinars and face-to-face sessions; and access to a mentor throughout the project. Students will be encouraged to “think outside the box” and explore creative solutions. Companies involved in the project include Northern Gas Networks, Bechtle and Yorkshire Water.
Register your schools interest by completing our NetZero EOI Form (we appreciate that you may not be able to name the individual team members at this stage, but please do register your school’s interest ASAP)
