The Chamber is seeking your assistance

Connecting Britain: HS2 East

Ahead of the final decision being made as part of the Integrated Rail Plan, which we are anticipating to be announced in mid-February at the earliest, the Connecting Britain campaign is co-ordinating a letter to the Prime Minister from businesses along the eastern leg encouraging him to back HS2 east and the local / regional connectivity we need.

The Chamber is seeking your assistance in supporting this letter. Here is a draft of the letter to the Prime Minister  we are seeking business leaders who would be willing to put their name to urge the PM to honour commitments made over rail infrastructure investment and in particular the building of HS2 in full as he promised in 2020. Our Victorian-era railway network has served the country well but is now desperately in need of investment and improvement. This was true before the COVID pandemic, and remains a priority if we are to ‘level up’ the UK economy.

If you are willing to support please confirm with an email to Mark Goldstone representation@wnychamber.co.uk the deadline is 12 noon on February 2nd.

Please include your name and position along with the name of your organisation within your email and we will include this on the letter.

Example of emailI [NAME], [POSITION] of [COMPANY] support the HS2 campaign and would like to be included within the letter to the Prime Minister.
