St Gemma’s Hospice

St Gemma’s Hospice provides end of life care for the people of Leeds.  Our aim is to support those living with life limiting illnesses, to control their symptoms, alleviate their pain and give them the best possible quality of life – all free of charge.

Every patient is an individual with unique needs and preferences; and our dedicated staff understand how to care for the whole person, not just treat their symptoms.

We also support, advise and counsel patients’ bereaved families through what can be a difficult and distressing time for them.

At any one time we are caring for 22 patients in the Hospice and over 300 patients in the community. It costs around £15 million to run the hospice each year and it is only thanks to the support of the Leeds community that we are able to continue this incredible care.
